Community rules
Short list. Broken rules get posts rejected automatically — repeated breakers get suspended.
1. ServiceNow-only
This forum is strictly for ServiceNow topics — Now Platform, ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps, GRC, Flow Designer, App Engine, and adjacent tooling. Posts that don't mention the platform, module, or feature you're asking about are auto-rejected.
2. Ask concrete, on-topic questions
Include what you tried, what you expected, and what you saw. Version + module + snippet + error message. Titles <8 chars or bodies <20 chars are auto-rejected.
3. No profanity, no personal attacks
Address the problem, not the person. Slurs and profanity are auto-rejected. "You are an idiot" style replies are auto-rejected — repeated attempts suspend the account.
4. No spam, no promotion
Max 5 links per post. Recruiting posts, product pitches, referral links, and drive-by promotion are removed and the account may be banned.
5. Search before you ask
Anonymous visitors get one free search per day; logged-in members get unlimited. Duplicate questions get closed and linked to the existing thread.
6. Answer with what worked
Guessing is fine if you say so. Confidence intervals help; hallucinating is not helpful. If your answer worked, mark it as the solution.
7. One account per person
No sock puppets, vote manipulation, or coordinated brigading. Ban-evading accounts are banned again.
8. Moderators can remove content without warning
You keep ownership of your posts; moderators can hide them if they violate these rules. Appeal by opening a report on the thread.
These rules apply to threads, replies, usernames, and profile content. The moderation code that enforces them lives in src/lib/moderation.mjs.
